I've posted in the download section a PDF of an article written by Michelle in a recent 2004 issue of CarBuyer magazine. In it Michelle writes about the Volvo YCC (Your Concept Car), which is designed by an all-women team (which Michelle tried very hard not to convey ;-)). It's very well-written- you'd think Michelle is an on-staff editor of the magazine. Thanks to Leow Ju-Len of Big Fish Publishing for this!
Here's an excerpt:
So hopefully, car companies are finally waking up to what we women want in our dream cars: a whole lot of practical solutions, set into a stylish package, and most of all, great performance.
Presumably, the car industry thought otherwise before YCC. Ask an all-male team to design a concept car for women, and they would probably have come up with something small, cute and pink. If we wanted that, we would just shave a hamster.
