I've noticed a pretty obvious blooper in episode 12 of Meteor Garden 2. After "grandma" and "grandpa" are united, San Cai sprints away and Ye Sha runs after her. But Ye Sha and San Cai's clothes change during the chase. It's very obvious for Ye Sha but you can tell that San Cai is wearing a different shirt also- take a look :-).
[excerpt] Don't worry, be happy. This phrase seems to best sum up Michelle Saram's attitude towards life and her career.
Take her reaction to negative comments on her performance in Meteor Garden II, a Taiwanese drama series starring the popular boyband F4, for example.
Viewers had posted messages criticising her laughter, her looks, and even her reel character for coming in between a screen couple.
"I find it all a bit amusing. It's really funny that they (the audience) react so strongly to something that is make-believe," laughed Saram. "I guess you take everything with a pinch of salt."
In Taiwan, after MG2 had been shown, there was one
whole week where they featured special scenes of the
cast. In one show, the F4 were asked to rate the
girls they worked with in MG1 and 2. Here are their
ratings and explanations:
1) Qian Wei Zhan (Ten Tang Chin):
Jerry gave her an 8. Ken rated her as 7. Vic and
Vanness gave her an 8 too. They said that shes very
tall and pretty.
2) The actress who portrayed Xiao Tzi:
Ken, Vanness and Jerry gave her 5. Vic rated her a
6. They said shes pretty but not exactly their type.
3) Xiao You:
Jerry gave her a 5, while Ken, Vanness and Vic
gave her a 6. They all said that
Rainie is still very young. When Ken was asked if he
didnt develop romantic feelings for Rainie, he
answered that shes too young for him.
4) Michelle Saram or Deng Xue Er (Ye Sha):
Vic gave her a 5. He finds her beautiful but as a
personal choice, he prefers girls who are not so
pretty. Ken gave her a 7. He describes her as
beautiful also but not exactly his type because he
finds Michelle too mestiza. Vanness gave her a
perfect 10. He likes her face and body. Jerry rated
her as 8. Shes beautiful according to Jerry but he
goes more for the not so pretty yet not ugly type of
girl.

Getting hate mail not always bad
[from Jan 20 2003 news paper article in Taiwan] How does a newbie make a bang in Taiwan?
Try snuggling up to a popular teenybopper.
Or copying one.
Failing that, break up everyone's favourite screen couple.
It's not a path to popularity, though.
Singaporean artistes...........and Michelle Saram were swamped with
hate mail when they ventured into Taiwan.
But, guess what?
They picked up thousands of fans, too.

Jerry Yan praises Michelle
[excerpt from a Taiwan newspaper in Dec of 2002] Pop group F4's latest album, Fantasy 4ever, comes with pop-up pictures of the foursome - so fans can gaze at their idols in 3-D while listening to them sing. EAT your heart out, Meteor Garden fans. You may not like Singaporean actress Michelle Saram for playing an artist who comes between Jerry Yen and Barbie Hsu's characters in the sequel to the series. but Yen, the dishy Taiwanese actor-singer, is full of praise for her. At an interview yesterday at the Harbour Plaza Hongkong, his face lit up at the mention of Saram. "I like her a lot. I hope she will call me. She taught me to sing English songs. When I think of her, I'm happy. You know how adorable her laugh is?" he said, flashing his dimpled smile and trying to imitate her giggle.
[Nov 12 2002 interview] Singapore star Michelle Saram came the first time to Taiwan to shoot a 8o'clock drama serial "Meteor Garden 2". In the drama she acts as the third party coming in between Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai. As for rumours that claimed that Sun Yao Wei once openly proclaimed his admiration to her and that she is very close to Louis Koo, Michelle questioned all these with a innocent look and questioning tone, "Sun Yao Wei? Who is he?" When Louis Koo is mentioned, Michelle quickly emphasized," Louis really looks after me very well but we are like siblings. Moreover I am a 'foreigner' and my Cantonese is not very fluent. Even communication becomes a problem, how can we go on dates?"
