Topic: General News on Michelle

Here's an excerpt from The New Paper dated, Thursday, 7 October 2004. Michelle Saram was one of three other celebrities mentioned in this write-up.

"It's a big step of course.

Only a handful of local actors have been courageous enough, or lucky enough, to have taken this step.

Michelle Saram went off to Hong Kong and Taiwan without the support of a management company here, after her appearance in Aaron Kwok's music video in 1997 gained her instant fame.

She starred in movies like Bullets Over Summer and Skyline Cruisers, and also had roles in TVB dramas A Step Into The Past and Threshold of An Era II.

But contractual problems soon saw her returning to Singapore in tears.

Yet, with the backing of Artiste Network, she rebounded quickly, scoring lead roles in idol drama Meteor Garden II, and will soon be seen in the idol drama City of The Sky, opposite F4 member Ken Zhu." (end of article).

My thoughts on Michelle Saram and this fansite.

"Though I'm Singaporean myself, I did not notice Michelle until I watched her in MG2. I reckon I missed out on this particular artiste as she was more of a household name in Hong Kong than she was in Singapore.

I then wanted to know more about this Singapore girl and I chanced on this wonderful fansite where I explored laboriously for my fill on Michelle Saram. I have since become a great fan of Michelle, faithfully logging onto this fansite for news and great downloads.

What makes this fansite unique?

(1) We have a super gem named David, for his absolute devotion in making us fans happy with this beautiful fansite. What can I say? but a string of thanks in zillions studded with stars to him!

(2) The contributions by equally faithful fans like funyan and claudi for sharing so much of their time on news of Michelle. Thanks heaps!

It was only natural to have this reaction that - I wished I had caught Michelle's earlier dramas and movies. Well, I did manage to catch Skyline Cruisers which I enjoyed tremendously.

Here's a Singapore girl from tiny island Singapore, who boldly and courageously entered an international entertainment industry (Hong Kong, Taiwan & now China), emerged a survivor at all odds, I have nothing but praise and admiration for her.

Having said the above, here's looking forward to more dramas and movies on Michelle. This time round, I'll make sure that I don't miss any of these! God Bless Michelle.

cheers
