Ken starts filming for City of the Sky

CCTVs new soap opera City of the Sky started filming on 22 May. The starting off ceremony was held early in the morning at 6.30 in Beijing near the Great Wall.

CCTV has invested to produce this new serial. At the same time, Angie Cai joined in along with the original crew of Meteor Garden. Angie Cai will be the producer of this soap opera and Ken Chu will take the male leading role. This is Angie and F4 members first time to do a mainland investors series. With CCTVs great investment and resources, together with Angie and her crews experience with soap operas, everyone has high expectations of City of the Sky. Their press conference will catch the spotlight of the media in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan!

City of the Sky is one of CCTVs first attempts to promote soap operas in the mainland. It is also Chinas most productive serial producer. As City of the Sky will be widely televised in 30 nearby countries and regions, overseas business agents can simultaneously increase their deliveries of related products to the market.

City of the Skys film producers, directors and actors Ken Chu, Michelle Saram and Zhang Ku Tian from Taiwan, Singapore and China attended the ceremony. The other two female leads Li Bingbing and Rainie Yang were absent.

The investors started preparing for this play since September last year. They will film in Beijing, Xishuanbanna and Tokyo. It is expected that the shooting will draw to an end in mid August and the rest of the production procedures to be finished by October. Hopefully, it will be aired in China and other areas by the end of this year.
