[Nov 12 2002 interview] Singapore star Michelle Saram came the first time to Taiwan to shoot a 8o'clock drama serial "Meteor Garden 2". In the drama she acts as the third party coming in between Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai. As for rumours that claimed that Sun Yao Wei once openly proclaimed his admiration to her and that she is very close to Louis Koo, Michelle questioned all these with a innocent look and questioning tone, "Sun Yao Wei? Who is he?" When Louis Koo is mentioned, Michelle quickly emphasized," Louis really looks after me very well but we are like siblings. Moreover I am a 'foreigner' and my Cantonese is not very fluent. Even communication becomes a problem, how can we go on dates?"
Michelle's first trip to Taiwan saw her adapting very slowly to the island. She had diarrhea and vomitted daily and there was once when she nearly fainted at the filming set, almost frightening the daylights out of Da S and Jerry Yen. Michelle said," This is still considered mild. When I was in China shooting "Xun Qin Ji", I was practically surviving on white rice and Coca Cola." Being her first time to cooperate with F4, Michelle had no idea who F4 was before she signed onto the show and she never heard of Meteor Garden before. After co-operation, she feels that Zai Zai is very cute and like to say jokes. Ken Chu knows how to cook and Vanness is very enthusiastic about his fitness and can talk to him in English and also go to SUBWAY to eat sandwiches. Jerry is very friendly. If she could merge all these four guys' unique characteristics together, it would be just perfect. However her dream lover is Brad Pitt.
As Michelle has the most main scenes with Jerry and Da S, when she knew of the rumours claiming that Da S and Jerry are not getting along, Michelle said," It's not the case ah! Da S and Bao Long did not quarrel. As Da S is very busy, she usually comes and goes in a flash. Opportunities to chat with her is already few and far in between. Bao Long almost has scenes to film everyday. The two don't even have time to quarrel, how to get in a conflict? And I feel that Jerry is very friendly. When I can't understand some of the dialogue in the script, he will think of ways to use English to explain it to me. We co-operated quite happily together."
